Official amiibo Website Now Open!

Nintendo just released an official amiibo website! It includes the line-up of characters up to the 3rd series, coming in February. When you choose a character, it displays a bio about them. It also has the amiibo trailer.

Pikachu Smash Bros. Controller Limited to Japan Only

Japan is getting a cute, yellow Pikachu controller for Smash Bros. coming out, but it will only be available in Japan. It is like the Mario and Luigi Battle Pads, where it connects to a Wii remote, instead of the adapter. And it is compatible with any Wii U game that supports the Classic Controller and the Classic Controller Pro. It also comes with a yellow sleeve for the Wiimote. It is going on sale for 3,500 Yen, which is around $30. You can buy the Mario and Luigi Battle Pads for $25 on Amazon.

UCraft Drastically Misses Funding Goal, so it Will Now be on More Platforms

UCraft failed to reach their funding goal by a long shot, so now it won't just be available on the Wii U. This might mean that it is coming to PC, PS4, Xbox 1, etc.

Link Almost was the Protagonist in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker?

Before Toad came to Super Mario 3d World, Hiratake wanted Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker to be a game where jumping wasn't allowed. But since Mario characters are particularly good at jumping, a small team of developers created a tech demo in which Link was the main character. Then they presented it to Miyamoto.

“We must have done too good of a job with our demo,” said Hiratake, “because during our presentation, Mr. Miyamoto asked us how we were planning on bringing these dioramas into production. He thought we were pitching him an actual physical product design.”

“We like to think that Mr. Miyamoto finally realized the vision we had for a diorama those many years ago.”

Minecraft PE 0.10.0 has been released on Apple. Yay! But for those on Android, it is coming soon. They have to fix some more bugs.

Super Smash Bros. Is the Most Pre-Ordered Wii U Game

Nintendo has announced that Sm4sh U is the most pre-ordered Wii U game to date! It has even passed Mario Kart 8's pre-order sales! Nintendo also thinks that it will greatly improve the Wii U's sales! Finally! This is what Nintendo said:

“The launch of Mario Kart 8 has essentially doubled our Wii U sales year-on-year,” Fils-Aime said. “Our expectation is that the sell-through for Smash is going to be very strong, certainly on par with what we saw with Mario Kart 8. We think the impact on hardware will be similarly dramatic.”

“Consumers buy the hardware so they can play the software. When you have a robust library of games, that’s when consumers jump in.”

Third Wave of amiibo Announced

The next wave of amiibo characters are now announced! It will include: Sonic, Mega Man, Lucario, Rosalina and Luma, Bowser, Toon Link, Sheik, Ike, Meta Knight, King DeDeDe, and Shulk. Toon Link and Meta Knight are ones that I really wanted! The Toon Link and Sheik amiibo will be compatible with Hyrule Warriors, and Toon Link is also compatible with Mario Kart 8. Also Zelda will be compatible with Hyrule Warriors.

I don't know if you have heard, but there was a ten year old girl named Karissa at a Gamestop event, kicking some of the best players in the top-west's butt at Smash 4 Wii U! But it turns out, she wasn't actually playing! She was paid by the company to fake it! It was said that the actors got $350 for 10 hours.

Nintendo is Planning on Releasing a Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U Deluxe Set Bundle?

Rumors are, Nintendo is releasing a Deluxe Set, Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U Bundle. With Black Friday and the holidays coming up, it's not a surprise if they are. It says that it includes the game, a Gamecube remote, and the Gamecube adapter. Here is the leaked pic:

Nintendo Won't Launch a New Console Until the Wii U's Potential has Run Out

Reggie, the President of Nintendo in America, said that the next Nintendo console won't release until the they have reached the Wii U's full potential. This is what he said:

Our mentality is, fairly soon after we launch new hardware, we already begin thinking about what's next. That's an ongoing process for us. In the end, what galvanizes us to move is when our developers have a great gaming experience that can't be done on the current platform. We're not there yet on the Wii U.

The experiments that Shigeru Miyamoto showed at E3 show that there's a lot of innovation to be mined with Wii U. We showed off the beginnings of a Zelda game coming to Wii U. We have a lot more content to create for the Wii U, but we're always thinking about what's coming next.

Yesterday Mojang is Officially Owned by Microsoft

Sorry I posted this a little late, but yesterday was the first day that Mojang was officially owned by Microsoft! Don't freak out though like my sister has. They will not ruin Minecraft. Phil Spencer, the head of the Microsoft Studios division at Microsoft. He posted this on Twitter:

It's official, today we welcome Mojang to the Microsoft Studios family. We're excited for the possibilities ahead w/ the Minecraft community.

7 Top Announcements From the Nintendo Direct 11/5

During the Nintendo Direct last night(11/5), Nintendo posted a lot of info on upcoming games and more. I will post 7 of the announcements here:

1.The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D
It is a remake of the Nintendo 64 version, coming exclusively to the 3ds in Spring 2015!

2. First Mario Kart 8 DLC
The first DLC pack releases on 11/13 and it includes more tracks and characters from other Nintendo games like the Legend of Zelda for example.

3. Amiibo
The Amiibo will be compatible in other games than Smash 4 such as: Mario Kart 8, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Hyrule Warriors, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Yoshi's Woolly World, and Mario Party 10. In Mario Kart 8, if you tap a Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Kirby, or Captain Falcon Amiibo to the Gamepad, you get an outfit of that character for your Mii to wear.

4. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
I thought this was a bummer, because I thought you would actually be controlling Kirby, but that's not the case. You have to draw rainbow lines for Kirby to roll on to get to the next part of the level. However, you can do multiplayer, whom the players are Waddle Dees who can move on their own account. It will release in February 2015.

5. PIKMIN Short Movies + Free PIKMIN 3 Demo
Yay! You can buy them on the Nintendo Eshop on your 3ds or Wii U console. It is $5 for the films. On the 3ds, it plays in 3D, but on the Wii U, it does it in HD. All 3 of the films combined are about 20 minutes long, so the price is pretty steep. You can also get a Pikmin 3 demo for free in the Wii U Eshop.

6. Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric Demo
The Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric demo will release on the Wii U on December 4 for free.

7. Challenger Approaching...
Duck Hunt Dog! Nintendo made Duck Hunt Dog his own Super Smash Bros. 4 trailer!

Minecraft PE 0.10.0 Alpha Build 6 is the Last

3 days ago, Mojang released the last Alpha Build for 0.10.0, 6, and this is the last one! Look out for 0.10.0 coming soon! It's a bummer that we don't have skin changing or enchanting like they originally said, but hopefully they will be here soon!

Nintendo just released an update to the Mario Kart 8 website, and they are showing more Amiibo coming to Mario Kart 8! Here is the full list of all the Amiibo compatible:

Nintendo Direct coming Tomorrow, November 5

Attention gamers! Nintendo will have a Direct tomorrow, 11/5! They are likely to cover info on Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and more info on Amiibo and what games they will be compatible with. Nintendo says that they will cover games up to Spring 2015. The Direct will air at 5pm (ET).

The Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric TV Commercial is Totally Awesome!

Funny, right? Who is planning to buy Rise of Lyric? I will eventually. It is on my list for Wii U games. The game will release on 11/11 in North America and 11/21 in Europe. The TV show of Sonic Boom is airing on 11/8 on Cartoon Network in the US.

Amiibo Displays are Showing up in Walmarts Around the US

Amiibo displays have been showing up in Walmarts. I actually saw the display yesterday when I went to Walmart. It shows videos on Amiibos and what they are, even trailers for certain characters, and what games they will be compatible with. The Amiibo are about the size of a regular Skylander.

Here is a video (I did not make it). You will notice that it hints that there will be a Tom Nook, Pikmin, and Bowser Amiibo:

Nintendo Announces that Mario, Peach, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong Amiibos will be Compatible with Mario Kart 8

You heard it, the Mario, Peach, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi amiibos WILL be compatible with Mario Kart 8! I am surprised they didn't say anything about Diddy Kong coming in the second series, so I am hoping he will be too!
